Aurora Apothecary was born out of necessity and evolved quite organically. I often find myself asking…how did I even get here?!

After my favourite natural soap was sold out with no re-stock date in sight, I thought to myself, “how hard could it be?!” I roped my husband in to helping me with that first batch and it has ignited a passion within that I didn’t know existed. What started as curiousity has evolved in to formulating products that bring a little comfort to everyday life.

I’ve always believed that self-care doesn’t have to be extravagant. Sometimes its simply washing your hands with a soap that smells like a quiet forest, applying a nourishing lip balm before heading in to a cold Canadian morning or taking a moment to pause while the scent of lavender or patchouli fills the room. Those little moments matter.

Inspired by the landscapes that surround us, every product is hand crafted in small batches with thoughtfully chosen ingredients and pure essential oils. I take my time developing each recipe because I want every bar of soap, every balm, and every botanical blend to feel as beautiful to use as it is to make.

My hope is that these mindfully formulated creations become a small part of your daily rituals. A quiet start to your morning; a calming end to your day; a reminder to slow down, breathe deeply and appreciate the beauty in simple things.
